This is a research screen for identifying companies that may deserve closer examination. It is not a valuation model, a quality score, or a forecast of investment returns.
Formula and groups
Rule of 60 score = revenue growth (%) + margin (%)- Hyper-Growers: revenue growth is higher than the margin.
- Cash Cows: the margin is equal to or higher than revenue growth.
The U.S. and Korean inputs come from different providers and use different growth-period definitions, so their scores should not be compared directly across countries. Revenue and margin also have different meanings for financial companies, holding companies, REITs, software businesses, and manufacturers. Extreme growth rates may reflect a weak comparison base or accounting classification.
